On Saturday, February 28, 2026, Canine Assisted Therapy (C.A.T.) will host its annual Volunteer Appreciation Party at the historic Sample-McDougald House in Pompano Beach. This special event honors the dedicated volunteers and therapy dogs who bring comfort and healing to thousands of people in South Florida each year.
With over 145 volunteer therapy dog teams, we serve more than 70,000 people annually, including at risk youth, isolated seniors, veterans, individuals with special needs, people experiencing trauma or mental health challenges, and many others. Your support helps us continue this vital work and celebrate the heroes (both human and canine) who make it possible.
