Mindful Monday – Open Virtual Pet Therapy Session
This month is Mental Health Awareness Month and as we all deal with the changes in our world as a result of the COVID 19 pandemic, Canine Assisted Therapy’s mission is simple: To enhance the lives of people through the use of certified pet therapy teams.
With so many of us feeling the effects of social distancing, recent lockdowns, job losses and changes in the workplace, we want to offer our support by bringing a smile to your face and providing a free “virtual” pet therapy session to anyone in need of a little pick-me-up!
Animals are a great way to support our mental health and, even though we can’t physically touch a therapy animal right now, studies show that any positive interaction with an animal can help to minimize stress and lower blood pressure. Who doesn’t smile when they see a cute dog?!?
Join us online and take a break with some of our therapy dogs on Monday, May 11th at 12:30PM.
Zone out for a few minutes and de-stress by logging on to the Zoom session anytime between 12:30pm and 1:00pm to see what some of the therapy dogs are up to in real time.
Maybe they’ll be doing tricks…or eating treats…or simply hanging out and looking cute. But either way, they can’t wait to see you and, hopefully, brighten your day!
