PRIZE
The winner will receive 50% of the proceeds from the Raffle, less required tax withholding (the “Prize”). 

ELIGIBILITY
Participants must be 18 or older and a Florida resident. Only one eligible person may be entered in the Raffle per entry. If the name of more than one person is submitted with a Raffle entry, and that entry is selected as the winner, then the person named first will be deemed the winner. The Raffle winner will be required to execute an affidavit of eligibility and provide proof of identity to collect the prize. Members of the staff and administration of Canine Assisted Therapy and their immediate families are not eligible to participate.

HOW TO ENTER
Raffle entries may be purchased for a suggested minimum donation of one (1) entry for $10, three (3) entries for $25, or ten (10) entries for $50. Participants purchase entries by visiting the Canine Assisted Therapy website at catdogs.org/raffle/ between September 15, 2021 and September 29, 2021. Each entry equals one entry in the drawing and there is no limit to the number of entries a participant may purchase. No refunds are available. Purchases of Raffle entries are not tax-deductible contributions.

No purchase or contribution is necessary to participate in the Raffle. There is a limit of one free or reduced contribution raffle entry per person. To receive a free entry or purchase a raffle entry for less than the suggested minimum contribution, please send your name, address, phone number and email address and indicate your request for a free or reduced contribution Raffle entry to 50-50 Raffle, Canine Assisted Therapy, 1040 NE 45^th Street, Oakland Park, FL 33334. All requests must be received by 11:59pm on August 30, 2021.

CONFIRMATION OF RECEIPT
Upon purchase or request, participant will receive an email confirmation. 

THE RAFFLE DRAWING
The drawing will be held on September 30, 2021 at approximately 12:00 PM at Canine Assisted Therapy, 1040 NE 45^th Street, Oakland Park, FL 33334 and will be broadcasted live on the Canine Assisted Therapy Facebook page. The winning entry will be chosen by random drawing from all entries purchased. The drawing will be conducted by Canine Assisted Therapy.

NOTIFICATION
The Raffle winner will be notified by email and phone within 24 hours of the drawing.

The winner must contact the Canine Assisted Therapy office at 954-990-5175 or at info@catdogs.org within four (4) days to make arrangements to receive the Prize. If the winner does not claim the Prize within the time period specified, the Prize will be forfeited and will be kept by Canine Assisted Therapy to support its programs. The winner must execute an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release and provide appropriate identification and documentation as determined by Canine Assisted Therapy. The Affidavit and documentation may be submitted electronically. Failure to provide the Affidavit and required documentation within 30 days of the drawing will cause the prize to be forfeited. All taxes are the responsibility of the prize winner and Canine Assisted Therapy will withhold taxes as required by law. Once the required documentation is received, Canine Assisted Therapy will mail a check in the amount of the prize less any required withholding to the winner.

GENERAL RULES
Raffle entries are not transferable or assignable. All entries must contain a name, address, email address and phone number to be valid.

The Raffle is void where prohibited or restricted by law. Any and all taxes, fees, and other costs including but not limited to federal and, if applicable, state and local income and withholding taxes that may arise and be due or asserted on the value of the Prize are the sole responsibility of the Raffle winner. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received for the Raffle.

RELEASE
ALL RAFFLE PARTICIPANTS RELEASE, DISCHARGE AND HOLD HARMLESS CANINE ASSISTED THERAPY, CANINE ASSISTED THERAPY AUTHORITY AND EACH OF THEIR RESPECTIVE PARTNERS, MEMBERS, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, REPRESENTATIVES AND AGENTS ("RELEASED PARTIES"), FROM ANY AND ALL LIABILITY FOR ANY INJURY, LOSS, OR DAMAGE OF ANY KIND WHETHER DIRECT OR INDIRECT, WHICH MAY BE DUE TO, OR ARISE OUT OF, PARTICIPATION IN THE RAFFLE OR THE ACCEPTANCE, USE, MISUSE, NON/USE, OR POSSESSION OF THE PRIZE, OR ANY PRIZE-RELATED ACTIVITY, AND THE WINNER AGREES TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD THE RELEASED PARTIES HARMLESS FROM ANY AND ALL LOSSES, DAMAGES, EXPENSES (INCLUDING ATTORNEYS’ FEES AND EXPENSES), RIGHTS, CLAIMS, AND ACTIONS OF ANY KIND ARISING IN CONNECTION WITH OR AS A RESULT OF THE WINNER’S ACCEPTANCE OR USE OF THE PRIZE.

DISCLAIMER OF ALL OTHER REPRESENTATIONS AND WARRANTIES
There are no other representations or warranties other than set forth in these Official Rules and Conditions. The Released Parties disclaim all other representations and warranties expressed or implied regarding the Raffle. A participant’s sole and exclusive remedy against the Released Parties shall be limited to the purchase price paid for Raffle entries. The Released Parties are not responsible for any errors which may occur in connection with the administration of the Raffle, the processing of entries, the Notification, any other announcements or telephone or in-person conversations relating to the Raffle or in any Raffle-related materials. Released Parties are not responsible for, and Canine Assisted Therapy reserves the right to correct, typographical, clerical or printing errors in any Raffle-related materials, including these Official Rules and Conditions. Released Parties are not responsible or liable for any events beyond the control of Canine Assisted Therapy which may cause the Raffle to be stopped, including but not limited to any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries, nor are the Released Parties responsible for any failure of any Raffle entry to be processed on account of technical problems or human error, or any combination thereof.

Canine Assisted Therapy may exclude, disqualify or terminate participation in the Raffle to any entrant who, in Canine Assisted Therapy’s sole discretion: (a) ignores these Official Rules and Conditions; (b) acts in a manner Canine Assisted Therapy determines to be not fair; (c) acts with an intent to annoy, threaten or harass any other entrant or Canine Assisted Therapy; (d) acts in any other disruptive manner; or (e) tampers with the Raffle entry process. Sponsor reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the Raffle, which changes will become effective upon publication of revised Official Rules and Conditions at catdogs.org/raffle/.

Canine Assisted Therapy reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate, modify, or suspend Raffle entry sales should it determine, in its sole discretion, that any virus, bug, non-authorized human intervention or other causes have corrupted or affected the administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of the Raffle. In such case, Canine Assisted Therapy will conduct a random drawing from among all eligible entries received prior to the aforesaid action taken by Sponsor.

ANY ACT OR ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE ASSOCIATED WITH THE RAFFLE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE RAFFLE MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, CANINE ASSISTED THERAPY RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY INDIVIDUAL(S) RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ATTEMPT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

CHOICE OF LAW AND JURISDICTION:
Except where prohibited by law, all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Rules and Conditions, or the rights and obligations of entrants, the potential winners and Canine Assisted Therapy in connection with any Raffle, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Florida, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions (whether of the State of Florida or any other jurisdiction) that might otherwise cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of Florida. Any action seeking legal or equitable relief arising out of or relating to any Raffle or these Official Rules shall be brought only in the courts of the State of Florida located in Broward County.

HOW WE USE THE INFORMATION THE FOUNDATION COLLECTS WHEN A RAFFLE ENTRY IS PURCHASED
Canine Assisted Therapy may use the personal information collected when you purchase or request a Raffle entry to communicate with you regarding our services; to update information from Canine Assisted Therapy; or for other marketing purposes.

REGISTRATION DOES NOT IMPLY ENDORSEMENT, APPROVAL, OR RECOMMENDATION BY THE STATE. 100% OF YOUR CONTRIBUTION IS RECEIVED BY CANINE ASSISTED THERAPY.

WHAT IS THE 50-50 RAFFLE?
The gross proceeds of 50-50 Raffle entries sold go into a prize pool and 50% less taxes is awarded to the winner of a random drawing. The remaining 50% is a contribution to Canine Assisted Therapy to support its mission.

WILL I RECEIVE A PHYSICAL RAFFLE TICKET?
No. Every Raffle entry will be entered into a computer program by name and assigned a number. There are no physical raffle tickets.

WHEN WILL THE DRAWING TAKE PLACE?
The drawing will take place on September 30, 2021 at 12:00pm and the video of the drawing will be shown on the Canine Assisted Therapy Facebook page at @CanineAssistedTherapy. 

The winner will be notified via email and phone within 24 hours.

ARE MY WINNINGS TAXED?
Yes, Canine Assisted Therapy is required by law to withhold taxes and additional taxes may be required. All taxes are the responsibility of the winner.
